The Prophets of Doom Bio
MALACHI (VOCALIST)
We know the score, we’ve been about, now we’re back! Alright, a little reinvention here and there, a refocus, some pretty hot topics and boom it’s. ‘Just Before You Go!’ We have had years of live performance and gigs, well seasoned!
Our last album (Souls Cafe), was as the then ‘The Thomas Carr Affair’ way back in 2006. We have always loved the live stuff and we kind of kept going with it in various forms up until say, five or six years ago. Around that time the Lord led me and a mate from the collective to study at uni. A cheeky music degree later, and some different doors started to open. I carried on with study, it was like the Lord was giving me new tools to work with. It wasn’t until more recently, lockdown, or house arrest to be precise Lol, I began to write music again, I could’t stop.
The collective began to realise that in the last decade, so much had been happening in the world, prophecy after prophecy taking place particularly in the last couple of years. Anarchy, wars, pandemic, earthquake, famine, persecuted Christians. This is the end of the age as described in the bible literally happening before our eyes, and we are living it. This drove us back into to the studio. A new name, different style and a fresh focus. We ain’t pretty, but we’re pretty determined.
