Our Mission
“SET THE TRUMPET TO YOUR LIPS!” Based on Hosea 8:1
Set the trumpet to your mouth!
He shall come like an eagle against the house of the LORD,
Because they have transgressed
My covenant
And rebelled against my law. Hos 8:1
What do we mean by ‘Set the Trumpet to Your Lips’? Quite simply, we have used this phrase to describe a communicative process. We refer to the instruments employed by soldiers in ancient Israel to alert an army to the attack of an enemy, or rally troops to different parts of a battlefield. The use of the trumpet’s melodic phrasing during battles was primarily a communication method that was understood by troops.
Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. 2 Tim 3:12
Malachi & Devorah are Christian evangelists and the founders of “Set the Trumpet to Your Lips". The pair have founded a new voluntary Christian ministry which seeks to harness bible prophecy for use in the creative arts, whilst pointing to the plight of persecuted Christians. The ministry figuratively sounds the trumpet to alert Christians to the ongoing spiritual war, whilst highlighting the areas where the battle is most intense. Evangelism, visual art, and music are combined to create exciting products such as the newly released first studio album, ‘Just Before You Go’ by ‘The Prophets of Doom’. All revenue raised from the sale of the album will go directly to The Barnabas Fund who work closely with the persecuted church.
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? “For Your sake we are killed all day long;
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” Rms 8:35-36
Thousands are murdered, tortured, and denied their basic human rights or needs daily because of their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. In some parts of the world, the Christian Church has become the victim of a silent genocide taking place in plain sight, which must be exposed and challenged. It’s our belief that persecuted Christians need our support and the help of many voices to champion their plight. We must ‘set the trumpet to our lips!’ and sound the alarm. Paul reminds us:
If one part of the body suffers, all the parts suffer with it... 1 Cor 12:26
We are living in very dangerous times where truth is relative, adaptable and can be transformed into anything that we desire it to be. The media is almost silent on the systematic slaughter of Christians by violent Jihadists in Central Nigeria (Sahel region and especially Burkina Faso). In the Middle East, the media is not held accountable to report fairly or truthfully. In fact, in a western society with no moral absolutes, what does it mean to be truthful? Perhaps it is to do or say whatever seems ‘right in our own eyes’, which begs the further question, ‘what’s wrong with that?’ We would say EVERYTHING!!!
Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Rms 8:37-39

What We Believe
What We Believe.
The sole basis of our belief is the Bible, God’s infallible written Word, the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments. We believe that it was uniquely, verbally and fully inspired by the Holy Spirit and that it was written without error in the original manuscripts. It is the supreme and final authority in all matters on which it speaks. We accept those areas of doctrinal teaching on which, historically, there has been general agreement among all true Christians.
- There is one true God, eternally existing in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – each of whom possesses equally all the attributes of Deity and the characteristics of personality.
- Jesus Christ is God, the living Word, who became flesh through His miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit and His virgin birth. Hence, He is perfect Deity and true humanity united in one person forever.
- He lived a sinless life and voluntarily atoned for the sins of men by dying on the cross as their substitute, thus satisfying divine justice and accomplishing salvation for all who trust in Him alone.
- He rose from the dead in the same body, though glorified, in which He lived and died.
- He ascended bodily into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God the Father, where He, the only mediator between God and humanity, continually makes intercession for His own.
- Human beings were originally created in the image of God. Adam sinned by disobeying God; thus, he was alienated from his Creator. That historic fall brought all mankind under divine condemnation.
- Human nature is corrupted, and by nature we are totally unable to please God. Every human being is in need of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
- Our salvation is wholly a work of God’s free grace and is not the work, in whole or in part, of human works or goodness or religious ceremony. God imputes His righteousness to those who put their faith in Christ alone for their salvation, and thereby justified them in His sight.
- It is the privilege of all who are born again of the Spirit to be assured of their salvation from the very moment in which they trust Christ as their Saviour. This assurance is not based upon any kind of human merit, but is produced by the witness of the Holy Spirit, who confirms in the believer the testimony of God in His written word.
- The Holy Spirit has come into the world to reveal and glorify Christ and to apply the saving work of Christ to men. He convicts and draws sinners to Christ, imparts new life to them, continually indwells them from the moment of spiritual birth and seals them until the day of redemption. His fullness, power and control are appropriated in the believer’s life by faith.
- Every believer is called to live so in the power of the indwelling Spirit that he will not fulfil the lust of the flesh but will bear fruit to the glory of God.
- Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church, His Body, which is composed of all people, living and dead, who have been joined to Him through saving faith.
- God admonishes His people to assemble together regularly for worship, for participation in ordinances, for edification through the Scriptures and for mutual encouragement.
- At physical death the believer enters immediately into eternal, conscious fellowship with the Lord and awaits the resurrection of his body to everlasting glory and blessing.
- At physical death the unbeliever enters immediately into eternal, conscious separation from the Lord and awaits the resurrection of his body to everlasting judgement and condemnation.
- Jesus Christ will come again to the earth – personally, visibly and bodily – to consummate history and the eternal plan of God.
- The Lord Jesus Christ commanded all believers to proclaim the Gospel throughout the world and to disciple people of every nation.
